A little of pragmatism...
A fortified castle is a place you dream of but it does not make you forget a much less
poetic reality: the restoration costs money... A lot of money. Naturally the members
of the FAYEssociation are going to wet their shirt and to learn how to raise up stone
walls. But a certain amount of work has to be done, even just to protect the what remains,
to secure the site and to make it appropriate for the visits and for the
tourism.
The owners asked for estimations and retained the Barrataud company of Mézel (Auvergne) in agreement with the architect of the Buildings of France in Puy de Dôme.
We deliver you below the amount of the estimations.
A stair in the donjon
The least that we can say is that this donjon fascinates. But that it is
frustrating not to be able to enter it (unless at the price of some dangerous
acrobatics and just for the first level)! What a point of view we would have on top of it !
We asked for an estimate for the following works:
The chapel
The chapel is the first main project of the owners. There the estimate
amount if of 75000€ but it understands the restoration of one of both adjacent
walls.
